Yes, this is correct
We used to talk about, for example, fc5 and fe5 (for “Fedora Core 5” and “Fedora Extras 5”), but unless I’m remembering horribly wrong, we never made fe5
packages — they all were fc
.
When we got rid of “core”, we didn’t want to break things, so we kept fc
. I remember some talk about "it’s now ‘Fedora Collection’, but we never really leant into that.
