I wonder if anyone got app-containers/waydroid working.
Any hints on how to get it working are welcome.

Hello, please tell me how you dealt with this problem? In my case, nothing starts at all when init or from start menu.
You need to follow the waydroid setup instructions

I reinstalled it even now according to the instructions, but it won’t start. Only the icon blinks in the taskbar.
Did you enable the service? And please try to launch it from the terminal, it will give more info than just blinking.
In general, if something is not launching, try from terminal.
You are in KDE, so right click on the icon in the menu, “edit application” and you see the command that is ran.
Likely sudo waydroid init

Updating the waydroid image by running “sudo waydroid upgrade” did the trick for me
