The first thing is through: journalctl

and the second is a file i saved from issuing :

sudo journalctl -k --since “2025-09-26 09:55” --until “2025-09-28 4:17” > kernel-crash.log

Here: https://drive.google.com/file/d/17-hhzfYbDiSJiC8Opma5H12eBOc1byoB/view?usp=drive_link

Can you post

journalctl --no-hostname --since "2025-09-28 15:37:00" --until "2025-09-28 15:40:00"

Does this occur each time you have a crash?

Welcome to :fedora:

Hi, sorry for the late i issued the command i did get this REG_WAIT Line

i believe its amdgpu driver bug ? due to REG_TIMEOUT

That could be it, can you post what happened prior to that?

You can pipe the output of the commands to fpaste or you can also pipe it to wl-copy if you have the wl-clipboard package installed

I usually run OBS Chrome and EasyEffects this is my daily routine sometimes i run sublime vscode and playing games on steam. At random times at least once or twice a day these apps stop responding, and I get a “Force Quit” prompt. After that the desktop becomes unresponsive until I log out and log back in.

Initially, I hadn’t passed anything in /etc/default/grub. I then tried adding amdgpu.gpu_recovery=1 to see if it could recover without a full reboot. The issue still occurs, but now sometimes a logout/login is enough to recover, whereas without this option a full reboot is usually required if the issue occurred .

There looks to be another question about OBS with AMD here, Crash of Wayland with OBS Studio
With a link to a bug, GitHub · Where software is built which indicated it’s a gnome issue.

It also looks like there’s another similar issue, Making sure you're not a bot! which was related to Making sure you're not a bot! which should be fixed in mutter 48.5. Looks like that was just released last week.

Any of that resemble what’s occurring?

It seems somewhat similar. My setup also freezes randomly while running OBS Chrome and EasyEffects on Wayland. The desktop becomes unresponsive until I log out and back in. but the behavior looks like it could be related to the Mutter/Wayland issues you mentioned. and also i dont know maybe im wrong but all the years i tried to give gnome a run but always it gets on my way lol and kde was always good with me i know its not accurate both are great but somehow i found kde is good

Thank you so much for taking the time to look into this and for pointing out those related issues. I really appreciate your help and guidance <3
