Trying to dual-boot; a bug, GRUB not found, and more fun

Hello, everyone.
I tried the Everything Netinstall image for a minimal installation. When trying to create a partition in advanced custom partitioning, the installer had an unexpected error, and required me to quit. In standard custom partitioning, the option to encrypt partitions appeared to only be available for those created automatically, for whatever reason. After completing the installation process and restarting, the computer booted directly into Windows instead of showing the GRUB menu. When looking into the boot order, there did not appear to be separate options for the operating systems. Disk management shows that the new partitions were indeed created, but they both have 100% free space listed. Finally, I believe I have specified the installer to delete a partition made earlier, but it still remains.
