It’s 4:49 AM. For the lost souls who came seeking wisdom, here’s something that worked for me. When I tried installing Fedora on an old HDD with an MBR partition table, I encountered an issue. The MBR system only supports a maximum of four primary partitions. If you already have four partitions, this problem might occur. In my case, I had only two primary partitions plus additional Windows partitions, but it still counted. I went to the Disk Management tool, deleted an unused partition, and then attempted to install Fedora 40 again. It worked. Receive this knowledge.
Windows 11 only installs on a gpt partitioned disk and only in uefi mode. Your advice is irrelevant to the original topic since you used mbr partitioned drive – meaning you did not have windows 11 involved at all.
