Touchpad cursor movement intermittently feels "heavy"/lags behind actual finger position

I know mixing Desktop Environments isn’t a good idea, but I installed Plasma alongside Cinnamon, on an install of the GNOME variant of Fedora,
And I didn’t have any issues. But, then, I installed the X11 session for Plasma and now my cursor feels for lack of a better word, “heavy”, or “slow”, uncomfortable to move, but only sometimes. It feels like it’s alternating between normal movement and sluggish movement at random every few minutes, but I haven’t had to deal with the sluggish movement for long enough to confirm this.
Oddly, though, I think this issue has haunted me since I used Linux Mint, where it happened even without installing Plasma?

I don’t want to remove X11 Plasma from my system, but I’m willing to try it if nothing is known about this
I also don’t know where to start looking to debug this. Here’s the output of journalctl --since "1 hour ago" | grep touchpad:

This is weird because I’m not experiencing the issue described here

Could it be a variation of this problem?:
