System won't boot Kernel 6.16.9-200

I am using Fedora 42 KDE Edition on a Lenovo X9-15 G1 Notebook (Intel Lunar Lake), with Btrfs and LUKS enabled.

After installing system updates, the system does not boot using kernel 6.16.9-200.fc42.x86_64. The screen just stays black. The system does not reach the screen where I have to enter the LUKS key to decrypt the system partition. I have tried multiple times.

I can boot using kernel 6.16.8-200.fc42.x86_64 without issues so I set this as the default kernel for now.

journalctl --list-boots -r does not show the failed boot attempts.

Same issue. Upgraded to kernel-6.16.9-200.fc42.x86_64. Screen stays black, never get prompted for my LUKS password on a Lunar Lake system.

Booting 6.15.9-201.fc42.x86_64 works on Fedora 42.

Same issue for me also, seems it was a regression of 2 bugs which have been reverted in 6.16.10 :

I had the same issue. I would recommend using the testing repos for now and upgrading to kernel 6.16.10. That fixed it for me.

I’m having the same issue with my Asus Vivobook. It is a lunar lake system. I’m only able to boot with the previous kernel
