Sound Issues on HP Envy 15

Helloo,

I recently installed the Gnome version of Fedora 36 on the newest HP Envy x360 15". Neither the speakers, nor the microphone work. I disabled pulse audio which did not help.

Here is what I see when I run lspci | grep -i aud

04:00.1 Audio device: Advanced Micro Devices, Inc. [AMD/ATI] Renoir Radeon High Definition Audio Controller
04:00.5 Multimedia controller: Advanced Micro Devices, Inc. [AMD] ACP/ACP3X/ACP6x Audio Coprocessor (rev 01)
04:00.6 Audio device: Advanced Micro Devices, Inc. [AMD] Family 17h/19h HD Audio Controller

Any help will be appreciated!

Fedora now uses pipewire for audio, so disabling pulseaudio won’t do anything by default. Everything is handled by pipewire and wireplumber now. You might try installing and running pavucontrol to see if you can adjust it with that tool. Stuff made for pulseaudio will continue to work just fine - it’ll just be handled by pipewire.

Okay, it was in fedoras wiki to disable pulse audio to troubleshoot sound problems

I installed pavucontrol. It shows one output device called Family 17h/19h HD Audio Controller Speaker + Headphones. This option is selected, but it doesn’t give any sound.
