Element recently announced that their Element X suite, everything you need to get the awesome new performance they’ve been working on, is available now.
I am super unfamiliar with how this works, but are we looking at making this upgrade soon? If there are speed bumps and roadblocks it is what it is, but otherwise I would like for us to start switching over. Our Element and Matrix usage is serviceable, but I think many in the community would like to see it become a smoother experience.
Element X is still not supported on home servers like the one used by Fedora.

A pre-requisite of support for Element X is adding support for the Matrix Authentication Service (MAS) to Element Matrix Services (EMS).
Whilst significant progress has been made in developing MAS work to add support for it to EMS is not due until 2025 - we’d advise checking the Element Blog for the latest updates where we’ll announce its support in the future.
So it might happen over the course of the year, but I couldn’t find anything more specific.
There is an article on the Element blog mentioned above, which informs about them recently introducing this authentication service to the matrix.org server: MAS migration unleashes Element X on Matrix.org. As far as I can understand, the relevant part for Fedora is this:
What does this mean for Element’s customers?
Element’s customers do not use the free Matrix.org public server, so this blog post is not applicable to them. Customers that use the classic Element app should already be in touch with us to discuss how best to migrate to Element X.
Should someone contact EMS or are they expected to migrate the home server on their own pace without any particular action by people from Fedora?
I’ve asked about this… there’s one issue on our side (sorting out our custom user agreement) and then they are looking to move things hopefully in june or early july.
