Mx Linux is Debian based - many user report that has excellent set tools call (MX Toolls).
In near future there will be any plan to fork project ( fork this MX tools ) and make Fedora MX as remix distro?
mx tools seem to be a config tool specifically used to configure mx linux.
Why would they be useful on Fedora?
If you want to use XFCE I suggest to go for “vanilla” Debian.
MX tools are a bit like Windows “utilities”, stuff you don’t really need and when you play with those you usually end in making things worse.
Whatever you need to do is either already provided by XFCE itself or you can accomplish it via Debian documentation.
There are very few things that actually deserve some “utility”, like setting the printer or the dreaded samba shares.
The thing I hate the most in MX is Conky.
Barry, those tools are aimed to configure the system. It is like the poor man version of Open Suse’s Yast. IMHO they are like the answer looking for a question, meaning why should you configure the system if it is already set? For example, you can have another tool to install software, on top of APT and Synaptics. Or another tool for changing the system theme and icons. But why?
