Some time ago I tried to install “new drivers” on one of my Fedora KDE computers because I was impatient,
i basically nuked the install because I tried to uninstall them and it bricked something (good thing it was the “sacrificial goat PC”, only thing I lost were some manga wiki pages).
Morale of the story:
Don’t fight penguins.

Jokes aside, sometimes the RPM team may be a couple of days behind IF the update breaks something, but the stuff is usually fixed fast.
I can see people who use the GPU to render actually suffering for that lapse of time, but for the majority of users and not it should not be a real problem, we can just wait.
