Hello everyone!
I have a Dell Precision 7550 with both a Intel UHD integrated graphics controller and a dGPU Nvidia Quadro T2000.
With the latest advancements in the Linux kernel is this supported? Can I switch between the two for power saving measures? Or would it be best for me to disable and run solo using the Nvidia Quadro T2000?
Thank you!!
Joe

Would this be optimus hardware? I see a section on RPM Fusion’s documentation about it (and other Nvidia bits):

You can switch between the two if power saving is critical. Personally I set my nvidia GPU as primary as shown here and always use nvidia.
Using this method works when using the xorg DE but not with wayland.

@computersavvy and @ankursinha Thank you both! I really don’t think I save that much power and will use your suggestion. Really new to the Linux world. I was thinking about purchasing a system with AMD cpu\AMD gpu as well.
Thank you again!!
