Hi, Recently I installed Fedora after using Ubuntu for a couple of years. Today I noticed that the buttons in the logout/restart/shutdown screen have changed: [Screenshot from 2024-10-21 17-02-29] The default buttons do not show this blue color, but only a lining around the button. Does anybody k…

It looks like it was fixed in the upstream yesterday, per this comment: Logout button changed - #17 by tqcharm Direct link to the commited fix: st/theme-node-drawing: Don't skip square top left inset shadow corners (50434f01) · Commits · Sebastian Keller / gnome-shell · GitLab

Maybe this one too, if considered appropriate.

I thought that I did something wrong, then I reinstalled Fedora 40. After my first log in buttons were fine, but after command sudo dnf update it looks so. Does someone know what causes this effect? [Screenshot from 2024-10-22 20-57-54]

Hey, everyone… I don’t have any themes installed and just use the default Adwaita, so I assume this is a recent “design change;” can anyone confirm that these (imho) ridiculously ugly dialog buttons are baked into GNOME 46.6 now? Thanks! [Screenshot from 2024-10-22 19-45-41]

Not fixed on my end, even after updates. :frowning:

I think the fix will be in the next minor or patch release of GNOME and will be availabie when it gets picked up by Fedora.

Hi, I have a graphical glitch on the logout window. The “cancel” button is partly blue, as you can see in the picture: [IMG_20241023_204820] Is this a common issue? How can I fix it? I already turned off all extensions. It doesn’t seem to come from a shell extension.

Hi Markus, there are several other threads here in the last day. The button seems to have changed in an update. No idea why and if it is intentionally or a small bug.

As mentioned above, this is a bug introduced with the latest update of the gnome-shell.

The issue has been fixed yesterday upstream.
