Hi all, new Fedora Workstation user here migrating from Windows 10. I’m having some trouble with the lock screen on my laptop and how it interacts with the fingerprint scanner. When I suspend the laptop and resume, the lock screen clock shows up for only a moment before it jumps to requesting the primary user password, and won’t accept use of my built in fingerprint scanner to unlock. I’ve found a few other users who are experiencing the same symptoms here: `open-fprintd-resume.service` fails to start after resuming from suspend · Issue #106 · uunicorn/python-validity · GitHub and here: Fingerprint unlock sometimes not available after suspend (#7791) · Issues · GNOME / gnome-shell · GitLab
I can work around the issue by just hitting escape to back out to the lock screen and then clicking through to get back to the password field and scan my fingerprint, but that’s obviously not the intended flow, and for what it’s worth, I tried disabling the fingerprint scanner too, and it again loaded directly to the password entry instead of the lock screen.
Please let me know what further details I can provide to help look into this!
