I already created a thread with a related issue at PipeWire issue: No Sound.
This is about the actual issue: My laptop uses Dolby Atmos speakers, and apparently it’s a known issue that this kind of speakers is not compatible with Linux, and the sound only plays on the Tweeters, and not the actual Speakers (which makes it very quiet, muffled and unusable).
I tried many things such as GUI configuration tools (like pavucontrol, HDAJackRetask, etc), tried setting config files (/etc/modprobe.d/snd.conf and alsa.conf), tried running and stopping a bunch of services, tried i2cset commands and a bash script, but nothing worked.
What’s strange is that many people seem to have the same issue, some claim to have a solution, but none of them works.
Most say it’s a kernel issue and talk about temporary workarounds until it gets merged, but then you realize that it’s from 2021 and they are talking about kernel 5.x and you are already on 6.10.4, and it’s still not working.
Does anybody know if there is a solution to this issue?
