Since I updated to fedora 41 my laptop doesn’t suspend when it is closed, it didn’t work when I tested it with the fedora 41 live usb.
When I ran this command sudo journalctl --unit=systemd-logind --follow the lid opening and closing was logged.
And I have set /etc/systemd/logind.conf to suspend when the lid is closed.
I am not too sure what else to try.

I did some testing and this is seemingly a Wayland only issue.
