Laptop doesn't awake after Suspend

Hi,

I don’t know how long this Problem is existing now, but it happens more often in the past weeks.

When I close my laptop and open it later I would suggest it goes into Suspend Mode on closing and wakes up, when I open it.
What happens is, that the screen keeps blank after opening, no matter if I shortly press the Powerbutton, press Enter or try to use the mouse. And if I then shut down the laptop with a long press on the Powerbutton, after the reboot the Battery is often nearly empty (depends on how long it was closed, but after 2 to 3 hours it is normaly around 15 %, when it was over 90 before). Normaly the Battery lasts depending on the usage for 3 to 6 hours, so I would say when closed it should last much longer, so I think it doesn’t really suspend but keep doing ??? . i don’t know.

For some time it happens not so often, maybe once a month, but the last weeks it happens on every try. Has anybody an idea, what may cause this or has some idea where I could start searching for the reason? Since I need to reboot I haven’t found recent log entries where I could search for the Problem.

Thanks for your help.

You are putting it into suspend, but not actually doing so. It seems the screen blanks? but the system is still active and not actually sleeping.

What do you have for GPU? If nvidia then there are some services that help to manage power and suspend for the GPU.

Thanks for the hint, I will test it tomorrow.
And yeah, I have a Nvidia GPU (see neofetch-Output in the original post).
