Added akmods, f40, rpm-ostree
Hi again, hopefully this will be the last question in this thread:
Discover tells me I have updates waiting this morning.
One is:
org.freedesktop.Platform.GL.nvidia-550-78, Refresh of version 1.4
The other is:
Fedora Kinoite 40.20240601.0
40.20240601.0 → 40.20240602.0
When I click to open it I see this:
Does it show me here just a listing of what I have installed in my system, or does it show me the packages which get an update?
I don’t know if I should update now. Will there be a chance I get the error message (post #1) again or will it just work?
What to do?
I have used the command:
sudo ostree admin pin 0
and did the update.
Nothing went wrong, no error messages whatsoever.
When I look at the status of my deployments I see this:
rpm-ostree status
State: idle
Deployments:

I read there will be 2 deployments to choose from during boot. With the older one being pinned, does that mean the one I am using now will be out of the list when new updates are installed?
I looked for a way to unpin a deployment and found this:
sudo ostree admin pin --unpin <pinned index number> to unpin any pinned ones
I will wait doing so until I have updated again and know things are okay.
2 posts were split to a new topic: Nvidia drivers on Kinoite 40
