KDE "reboot to apply updates" icon stuck on panel, even when no update has been installed

,

Hello everyone !

I’m using Fedora 42 KDE.

For a couple months, I’ve had the KDE “reboot required” icon stuck on the bottom panel, even when I haven’t installed any updates.

After rebooting, I sometimes land on an emergency prompt, possibly because it’s trying to apply updates. In this case rebooting a second time usually takes me back to a working desktop.

Rebooting doesn’t get rid of the icon, neither does refreshing updates in Discover.

Here’s a screenshot showing the issue :

I was hoping this would somehow fix itself after a few updates but no luck so far.

Does anyone know a solution to this problem ?

Thank you !
