Just today, on Fedora 41, one of my two displays stops updating randomly some time after login, basically it’s frozen, but everything else works fine (I can use the other monitor)
It’s fixed on a restart, but is happening fairly regularly. Is there a more precise way to restart just the display / gui when this happens?
What errors do you see in the journal?
Check both system and user journals.
Once you know what has gone wrong a fix may be possible.
