Screen stops responding randomly (Fedora 41, KDE)

I have two screens plugged into my desktop PC. Most of the time there is no issue, but sometimes (pretty much every other day) one of the screens will stop responding. Nothing moves, cursor doesn’t appear but everything still technically works when I (blindly) interact with it. The screen doesn’t turn black, it just freezes. It always happens to one screen first, then maybe the second one when I try to fix the issue.

My usual fix for the problem is turning both screens off and on, this usually does the trick at the cost of all apps crashing. Recently however I’ve been forced to restart the whole PC more often to fix this so it’s getting too hard to ignore the issue.

Has anyone ever encountered something like this?

Have a look at the system and user journal logs.
I expect you will see errors being reported one or both of them.

You can find the command line details in man journalctl, --since is useful to show logs after a specific time.

Use sudo journalctl to see system logs and journalctl --user to see user logs.
