A couple months ago, I found out that I can’t connect to fedora mirrors anymore.
You could
- Use a proxy.
- Use a free VPN, or rent a server and make your own VPN.
- Use TOR, but if you are in a country filtering the internet I would imagine they also look for TOR connections. It would be my choice of last resort.
However you might want to say more about your location and your set-up because it might not be that your mirrors are blocked.
If there is some hostlile governative agency monitoring the Internet connection, they could not tell what TOR is used for but they can tell you are using TOR and that could be enough to kick your door at night.
With VPN it is even worse, the said agency could ask the provider all the logs.
Renting a server in these situations is impossible, they are all controlled and provided by the government and making contact with foreing providers is another reason to get the door kicked.
I would not take the risk unless I am some Jason Bourne type.
It’s not always that bad
They just want Fedora.
Maybe it is best if the logs are available. That is why I would not recommend TOR.
