I’ve seen people reporting updating to Fedora 43, but there are no announcements in the announcement topic and no news about it.
I wonder if it is assumed to be supported or it still needs work here and there to say its supported?

Not yet. It not officially supported because some stuff still needs to get fixed. The people you have seen upgrade have done so on their own risk.
I don’t know exactly what needs to be fixed, but I know that steam games broke on f43 (something to do with muvm) and they are working on it.
