The subject wifi interface in my ZBook 17 G6 has not been working. I started with Fedora 40, and upgraded all the way thru to 41 (6.13.5-200.fc41). The devil is in the detail, because similar wifi in my ZBook 15U is working. It carries the same name, except it is “device 0080” instead of “device 0088”. That one is (still) running Fedora-40 (6.12.11-100.fc40). In both cases, iwlwifi is the “kernel module”, but is not loaded in case of the non-working wifi. The system with non-working wifi also hasn’t loaded iwlmvm. Forcing the modules to load with modprobe hasn’t had any effect. I know the hardware is OK, as the original windos asked to connect to both my 2.4GHz and 5GHz networks, before I shut it down I am looking for ways to get this wifi to work. Thanks.

You dual boot with windows ? If yes go to windows and properly shutdown windows sometimes it’s interfere with WiFi .Once you boot and get grub menu select fedora and check WiFi.If you don’t know to get grub menu when boot system press ‘esc’ button it will show grub menu
The LHDB probles that mention your WiFi device for your device includes some probes where it appears to work.
Since WiFi is usually activated early in the startup process, there can be vendor-specific differences in UEFI/BIOS support. You should check for UEFI/BIOS updates. Since you have 2 similar systems, comparing `journalctl --no-hostname -b -g wifi’ results may be useful.
No dual boot. System came with a fresh Windows installation. I don’t do windos.

I am looking at that page you linked, for the first time. My first time eyes read (on page 3) that my “B0387 HP ZBook 17 G6” device is “detected” by Fedora-40, but not necessarily “works”. If I read that wrong, I hope you’ll set me straight.
“Detected” can mean a wifi device is disabled by airplane mode or some configuration issue.
CSR stands for Control and Status Register.
Intel-AX200-probe-failed found the above error. The Intel tech suggested trying to disable ASPM in UEFI/BIOS settings, which is more of a workaround than a solution. The latter may require changes to the UEFI/BIOS.
The bottom line: My “reluctant” wifi is now working.
The gory details: Nowhere in the BIOS could I find an ASPM setting. Wireless network device: enabled; Bluetooth: enabled; HP LAN-wireless Protection: nothing enabled; Network settings: Extended DHCP timeout: enabled. No changes made.
Ran a UEFI Network test on the wifi interface: detected and enabled for use; passed
My BIOS is R92 ver. 01.25.00 of 6/23/2023. Just 2 years old, should be fine right? wrong!
I upgraded the BIOS to 01.31.00, booted into Fedora-41 and now the wifi is working.
