First I apologize if this is the wrong place to start. I have two basic questions 1) Does anyone know why the ISO image for Fedora 40 does not install on an IBM AC 922. Is there a live Fedora 40 image that works from a USB that I can use to examine the results of the instal have successful installed? IF this is the wrong place to start please point me to the correct discussion group. I have been using Fedora server on POWER equipment for about 10 years. MY existing machines can upgrade to 40 without problems. Unfortunately I had an upgrade fail due to a mistake on my part. Attempting to install from scratch also fails. I have successfully installed RHL 8.10 on the system. (I did this install to eliminate hardware issues). When I tried to install Fedora 40 after RHEL, it failed in the same way, it does not reboot after the install completes. (I suspect it has to do with an improperly formatted (or missing) initial partition on the disk. (The ISO was downloaded from the official fedora site). I have other questions but this may not be the correct form,. Thanks.
The root issue is the following Errors:
[ 6.167894] XFS (sda1): Superblock has unknown incompatible features (0x20) enabled.
[ 6.167898] XFS (sda1): Filesystem cannot be safely mounted by this kernel.
[ 31.725994] XFS (sda1): Superblock has unknown incompatible features (0x20) enabled.
[ 31.725998] XFS (sda1): Filesystem cannot be safely mounted by this kernel.
It appears that petiboot does not support the filesystem type utilized on the image I installed from. Has this been corrected?
