Impossible to use my own pictures in background

Hi everyone,

I am having an issue on Fedora Kinoite. I can’t put my own wallpaper on the desktop (jpg or png). I don’t know why.

Could you help me to find a way ?

Thanks !

Try to right-click on the picture in Dolphin and click on Set as Wallpaper > Desktop

thank you for your answer. But it doesn’t work

Have you tried any other images?

Yes, only default images by Fedora work.

Ok, I just tried this image (which is from Ubuntu not Fedora :smiling_imp:), so there can’t be anything wrong with it. Could you download and try it?

Also, see if journalctl says anything: journalctl -b -g wallpaper

I needed to install gdk-pixbuf2-modules-extra for something either related to background or the user pic on GNOME.

Thanks for answers. Whithout explications, the background works again. I just started my laptop this morning and tada…
