I allow sites to access my camera, but they cant access anyway

I use fedora 40 with kde 6 snap. I tryng to use google meet but when I click to allow camera, the camera blinks and close, desactivating itself. What should I do?
Update: I noticed that a pop up blinks, saying “no camera found”. But When I use “Kamoso”, the kde camera app, the camera works usually.

Added f40, webcam

What does “kde 6 snap” mean? Snap is a package format on Ubuntu, also semi-supported on Fedora, but Fedora prefers Flatpaks.

You mean the Fedora KDE Spin?

What browser do you use? How did you install it or was it preinstalled?

You’re right, its a Spin. And I use Brave Browser, but I tried on Firefox (preinstalled) and had the same result.

Added brave, firefox

Okay good info. This means it happens on the preinstalled firefox RPM.

I am on Fedora Kinoite so we have similar systems.

As it is unlikely to be broken in both browsers, this is likely some underlying hardware issue.

Can you install kamoso and snapshot, the KDE and GNOME camera and see if these work?

Also when you do, check journalctl -f for any messages.

Give us the output of lspci to see what camera you use.

Also, in Firefox, enter about:config in the URL bar, and try to enable Pipewire for the webcam, just for testing.

I tried to use kamoso and snapshot, my camera blinks like they trying to connect to my camera.

Here the the messages I got on journalctl -f on kamoso:
