FoxyProxy stopped working in my firefox (When changing proxy it starts working again, but temporarily), which used SOCKS5 protocol to connect. I want to use VLESS protocol on the system, but the problem is that I failed to connect with Hiddify (quite unstable ping display + firefox not working), on pc-windows everything works fine. Are there any alternatives or step by step instructions on how to properly put a 3rd party VPN client on fedora?
If you are on a desktop (Gnome or KDE) there will be a graphical way to do it.
Some providers have a download software that can run the VPN.
What way do you want to do it?
Graphical or Command Line?
What Desktop do you use?
It works for me in F42 with default settings:
- Download and install the latest Hiddify RPM package.
- Find a working and reliable VLESS subscription.
- Launch Hiddify, add the subscription, connect.
- Use system proxy settings in the browser.
Direct routing is enabled for the region selected in the settings.
Hello, sorry for the long reply, in the end with hiddify in system proxy mode everything works, just because I checked its work on a site ending in .ru, it did not proxy it and the site gave out my IP address. Anyway, thanks for the reply!
