How to install additional languages to Kinoite?

Hello!

I haven’t found out how to install additional languages on my system to extend the spellchecker used in e.g. LibreOffice.
Currently only English language packs are installed.
Do I just need to layer additional packages via rpm-ostree or is there a better solution?

Unfortunately there isn’t a setting in KDE yet to do that so you have to use the command line.

For Flatpaks, you can set the languages available for the UI & spellcheck using Flatpak Command Reference - Flatpak documentation.

Example:

$ flatpak config --system --set languages "en;fr;de"
$ flatpak update

If you need more dictionaries for applications on the host, you have to overlay them using:

$ rpm-ostree install hunspell-<languagecode>
