I want to create an image of my system to copy over to another computer, so i dont have to set everything up on it again. Is it possible to do this?

Very easy with tools such as clonezilla. There are other similar tools as well.
The thing to remember is that when you install the clone on another system everything will be exactly the same as the source system. Device UUIDs, hostname, user accounts & passwords, etc. As such it is important to know what might cause conflicts and plan for that before doing the restore on new hardware.
It is also important that the size of the drive where the clone is being restored must be at least as large as the source drive. Clonezilla will not restore to a smaller drive but will happily restore to a larger device.
