I’ve got a NVIDIA optimus laptop running Fedora 41 Kinoite. It has Mesa 24.2 installed.
How do I enable NVK? Or how do I check it’s enabled? Nothing seems to use my NVIDIA GPU; only my Intel.
I understand I can use the proprietary drivers but I don’t want to layer anything on and it causes all sorts of problems with rebasing to a new release of Fedora.
Edit: So maybe I am using NVK and my NVIDIA GPU when I play games? I checked Vulkan Info in KDE settings and indeed it is using NVK. But when I checked Resources while playing a high graphics intensive game on Steam, there was 0% usage for the GPU and it’s not properly recognized. But there was only 10% usage on my iGPU… there’s no way that Prey is playing at 50-60 FPS on an intel iGPU at 60FPS with only 10% usage, right?
