How do I show hard drive in Files sidebar?

Not sure if this happened during last update/upgrade but I used to be able to see my internal SSD listed in sidebar in Files app. Now i can’t see it and can’t see any way to get it there! Went through every option I can find. Grateful for any help

Confirm it is still in existence in a terminal with

lsblk

Is the hardrive correctly in the fstab? If it is not mounting automatically you will not see it.

And yes, the system folder by default is not available anymore :frowning:

System disks are not displayed anymore since GNOME 47. The effect of accessing the system disk is now obtained by entering / in the path bar.

Confirm what is still in existence, the internal drive? if so I can confirm it is!

What is ‘fstab’?

Oh GOD why not?! damn I HATE this stuff, reminds me of bloody Apple nanny state bull shit!
I know I can break stuff, LET ME, if I do, I will evolve

Thanks. I typed slash in top bar and see the contents of drive. Still want it on sidebar, is it possible to ‘hack’ it or get a shortcut somehow in sidebar?

The hack: access / → press the three dots in the path bar → Add to bookmarks → Rename bookmark to your linking.

You’re welcome. While at this, you might want to update your last name (I assume you’re on F41 now) .

Ha, no flies on you!! Thanks
