Hard to find the proper groups on DNF5 causing issues for KDE users

Hello!

Does anyone know how to install “Fedora Workstation” group on DNF5? It’s different than DNF4 and all the YouTube videos are for DNF4. I’m use Fedora 41 KDE Spin and want “Fedora Workstation” group installed for app compatibility. I’m sure other Fedora KDE users are having this issue and it would be great to have documentation of this. Any help would be appreciated! Thank you!

Hello JS,

if you have installed Fedora KDE, you do not have to install Fedora Workstation to be able to run Gnome applications. Just install the application and DNF will fetch all necessary packages to run that application.

However, if you want to install the entire Gnome, that you should be fine with the gnome-desktop group.

To list the environment groups in dnf5 run dnf environment list.
