GPU Isolation

I try to switch from Tumbleweed to Kinotie, but before doing so there is one major question I need an answer to. Can I isolate my NVIDIA GPU the same way as I did with Tumbleweed or Ubuntu? I use my NVIDIA GPU exclusively with VMs and run the host system (in this case Kinoite) on my internal INTEL GPU. Any help, or pointer to good documentation? Thank you!

I think that all you probably need would be to do a passthru of the nvidia gpu to the vm manager then the VMs would be able to see it directly. As I understand it this removes access from the host and only the VMs would have access to that gpu.

I have not done this personally but have seen some discussion on the subject.

A search on this forum for ‘gpu passthru’ or similar should provide some hints.
A google search for 'fedora nvidia passthrough` also provides a lot of links that may assist.

Maybe you can tell us what you did in these distro’s to make it work, so people here in the forum can tell you if you have to do the same, or maybe not.

If you managed to do it on Tumbleweed then it should work on Kinoite as well. As @jandemus said, it would be easier to help you if you posted the instructions you used initially.
