Hello,
I am using Fedora 40 with the following specification:
- OS Type: 64-bit
- GNOME Version: 46
- Windowing System: Wayland
- Kernel Version: Linux 6.9.9-200.fc40.x86_64
I have an issue with Gnome Automatic Screen Lock which locks the screen on lid close even though is set to have a 5 minutes delay.
I have already change the setting on the logind.conf
file which are set to ignore
and that works preventing the laptop going to suspension mode on lid close.
HandleLidSwitch=ignore
HandleLidSwitchExternalPower=ignore
HandleLidSwitchDocked=ignore
This doesn’t prevent Automatic Lock Screen without delay on lid close.
The only way to prevent screen lock on lid close is to disable Automatic Screen Lock which I don’t want to do for security reasons.
This issue might be related to this thread on gnome gitlab which I have hard time making account posting the issue there.
Thank you for help!
