After upgrading from Fedora 39 to Fedora 40, the text in the menus does not appear. The text only appears when you hover over it.
Is there a workaround for this problem?

Have you customised it in anyway? Different theme, icons?
The first step would be to see if the issues persist in a new user. If they don’t, then something in the user config is off, but if they do, it’s a system package issue.
Also of course: did the upgrade go through without errors?
I use the standard icons. Everything is standard. The error exists even if I create a new error. In which log should I check the installation. I did not notice any errors during the installation.

OK, so it’s a system issue then. Let’s start by looking at the logs when you see the issue. That’ll hopefully help us what’s going on:
I didn’t find anything regarding fonts.
It doesn’t have to be font related though. Could you please paste your logs for folks to see? (Or upload them somewhere if they’re too large to upload?)

The log file is 625 MB with 3876272 line. It is too big. I think will reduce it to a few hours after a reboot.
I was asking for you to edit your previous post.
But let’s ignore that and just go ahead and do a dnf distro-sync maybe this will fix the issue. Please reboot afterwards as well.

If you’re using Fedora Workstation (Gnome), try this to make sure all the necessary packages are installed:
sudo dnf groupinstall "Fedora Workstation"
If you can post the output for us to see, that’ll also be very useful.
All I can think of at the moment is that some fonts/font configs are missing. So hopefully reinstalling the group should fix that.
