Gaming Controller Issues

Hello
I’m seeking some help in resolving some strange remote behavior in fedora. I have been trying to set up a controller to play games with however whenever i start a game the controllers inputs are not registered. This is a strange issue as when i am in steams big picture mode all buttons and controlls work fine.

The controller i am using is a ps5 controller and i am using a usb connection. Any help in resolving this issue would be greatly appreaciated.

Thankyou

Edit:
Also here is my neofetch

Can you provide some additional information please.

Is steam installed as an rpm or flatpak?

With the controller plugged in can you take a look at:
lsusb -vv -t
journalctl -b --no-host -g hid

Edit: Fixing my typo on lsusb.

Does the controller show up in System Settings/Games Controller?

If you press the button and move the sticks do you see the feedback?

FYI: when posting text please use pre-formatted text not screen shots.
pre-formatted text is the </> button in the post editor tool bar.

Here is the output for the commands.
and it is installed as a flatpak

It shows up in game controller but not all buttons are working, the back r2, l2 bumpers aren’t showing up, two of the d pad buttons aren’t working and the right analog stick doesn’t seem to be getting picked up.

plugged in my second DualSense controller and the same buttons are missing.

And both controllers work when plugged into a playstation?
If so would appear to be a driver issue.

FYI One stick moves the dot in the square, the other changes numbers in the axis column at least with my microsoft controller.
