Firefox 98 is broken on arm64

Fyi, i can no longer start Firefox (on arm64) since this update… it’s this issue: https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=2063961

Like it or not, looks like the best way to install Firefox in Fedora and keep it always up to date is Flatpak (updated to 98.0.1 a few days ago from Flathub). I’m on Silverblue and 99% of my GUI apps are Flatpaks already, but I understand that some users might not like this package manager.

They’re both acceptable options, but have different QA paths and package deployments. There’s no guarantee that one will be more up to date than the other and there’s no “right” or “wrong” to picking one over the other. Generally, flatpak are more practical for Silverblue, but that’s not necessarily true (nor untrue) for regular, non ostree versions of Fedora.

@sandrito Nope, there is no Flatpak for Firefox for arm64 : 1646462 - Add Firefox ARM64/AArch64 option to Flathub (Flatpak)

Yes I know. My post was moved here but I posted it in a different topic. If I remember well Chromium is the only Flatpak option for arm64 right now.
