Fedora Kinoite: Newbie tries hibernation

Using fedora kionite since a day and came from a long windows+arch background.

I have trouble getting hibernation to work.

I use a the following layout of my disk:

  • efi vfat
  • boot etx4
  • luks
    • lvm pv
      • swap
      • root ext4

luks can take password or tmp2 with secure boot and everything is working up to this.

systemctl hibernate errors out saying it isn’t properly configured.
so i try systemctl start hibernate.target to check logs for the problem.

I figured se-linux (wich i never used before) is blocking systemd from writing the restore efi var, wich properbly isn’t a big thing since i think using the rpm-ostree kwargs would be more idomatic but im new to this immutable mutable world as well.

I more so confused why the kernel is apperently rejecting my swap as unsecure or some shit.

If you think this distro isnt for me thats ok, i havnt poured many hours into this, altought i want to try this since it gets a lot of talk with being like arch but stable wich is exactly what im currently searching.

Sorry for bad writing, i cant be botherd to fix everything with this chonkers keyboard on my tiny lap.

I just disabled secure boot and tpm decryption. I there default form they dont even do anything or as with tpm could even widen the attack vector. the kernel in hardened mode doesn’t even seem to have a implementation on what’s a secure swap atm.
