Fedora jam liveuser/guitarix failed to lock memory: Cannot allocate memory

I thought I would give Fedora Jam another try. So I downloaded the Fedora-Jam_KDE-Live-x86_64-36-1.5.iso, and booted it up. running as “liveuser”, I started QjackCtl, and then I started I started Guitarix. it gives me a wierd error:

# failed to lock memory: Cannot allocate memory

I found this doc: “Configure Fedora to practice and compose music - Fedora Magazine” which suggests

Then, as a root user, you will need to add yourself to the jackuser group:
sudo usermod -a -G jackuser <my_user_id>

But got the error that group ‘jackuser’ was not found. So I am at a loss. How do I set up the liveuser so I can test how it sounds with my guitar?
