My preference is one day before Flock. I depart on Monday but I will arrive some days early to Rochester for set-up and getting familiar with the venue.
Also, my capacity will be super thin around Flock. It will be best to prioritize the engagement/participation of others over myself because I will likely get pulled into various directions in the 24-48 hours before Flock starts.

Since I haven’t, though, I’m pretty flexible. My main constraints are: it’d be nice to be back in Boston for devconf.us on August 14, and I’m going to be in Indiana with family at the end of July.
Yep. You should expect to attend and not worry about organizing anything.
Also my preference would be one (or two 
) day(s) before Flock.

I’d prefer two days simply because we’ll discuss stuff the first day, sleep on it, think about it, and come up with better answers to open questions etc.
At least that’s always my personal experience!
