Hi everyone,
I’ve been experiencing an ongoing issue with my Lenovo V15 G4 ABP running Fedora 41 with Hyprland. When using the laptop on battery power, it sometimes restarts randomly, regardless of the battery level. The behavior is inconsistent—sometimes it happens, sometimes it doesn’t.
I’ve already tried several troubleshooting steps, including checking battery health, monitoring temperatures, also checking ram with memtest86+ and verifying system logs, but the issue persists. It doesn’t seem to be tied to any specific application or workload.
Here are a few logs and pieces of information that I was able to gather:
Journalctl Panic Logs:
Sep 25 12:30:52 fedora kernel: simple-framebuffer simple-framebuffer.0: [drm] Registered 1 planes with drm panic
Sep 25 12:30:59 fedora kernel: amdgpu 0000:04:00.0: [drm] Registered 4 planes with drm panic
(This happened during the random restart)
Journalctl Watchdog Logs:
Sep 25 12:30:52 fedora kernel: NMI watchdog: Enabled. Permanently consumes one hw-PMU counter.
Sep 25 12:30:53 fedora kernel: sp5100_tco: SP5100/SB800 TCO WatchDog Timer Driver
Sep 25 12:30:53 fedora kernel: sp5100-tco sp5100-tco: Using 0xfeb00000 for watchdog MMIO address
