When using the fedora and the 40 steam, the sound crackles and crackles like a 1950s radio. WoT Blitz is unplayable!
I tried both sources, same problem (flatpak, rpmfusion)
But on Ubuntu and OpenSUSE, the games run beautifully on almost identical systems, the gameplay is smoother and the sound is wonderful.
Is that why I need to install another Linux?
Has anyone had a similar problem?
There is a solution?
I run stream, installed from rpmfusion, on F40 and sound works with no quality issues.
How did you install Steam?
To help us understand your system please post the output of inxi -Fzxx
as pre-formmated text, using the </>

You will need to install inxi
.

I have no sound problems with other applications, it sounds nice.
That is good to know. I am using Intel HD audio that is on the motherboard.
Maybe there is an issue with the Sound Baster card’s driver?
Do the games run at a reasonable frame rate?
I am wondering if you have problem with running out of CPU or GPU resources and that stops the sound being processed.
