Fedora 34 KDE Plasma 5.22.5 - CTRL + ALT + F1 not showing TTY in login screen

,

I’m trying to encrypt my user’s home directory using ecryptfs following this tutorial. But upon login screen, I can’t get the TTY to show up! I’ve done CTRL + ALT + F1, which just leaves my screen frozen, which unfreezes when I ALT + F2, and I’ve tried all other Fx combinations etc…

I believe when I press CTRL + ALT + F1, the tty is present in the background (hence my screen appearing frozen but unfreezing when ALT + F2) but is not showing up display.

Anyone know how to another way to encrypt my ‘home’ directory without using a tty, or getting the tty to work? Thanks!

Did you try CTRL + ALT + F2 ?
For me its going from TTY2 to TTY6, which is represented by CTRL + ALT + {F2 … F6}
