Why? Distros like Arch, OpenSUSE, NixOS, Gentoo use the stable kernel while also offering the longterm kernel
I didnāt check if oS TW had a LTS kernel in repos, but I didnāt really have a reason to ever check
(itās rolling so I just expect latest-and-greatest everywhere). I feel that way with Fedora implementing newer tech.
Because additional kernel packages increase the support burden, and thereās only one kernel maintainer. For our āstaying close to upstreamā philosophy and working with upstream to improve the Linux kernel, there is no benefit to shipping a stale kernel version series of any kind, including the linux-longterm series.
