From your linked thread it seems the path is to upgrade postgresql to version 17 while still running f42 and that then the upgrade to f43 may work properly.
This gap was noted during the FESCo Change approval, but the PG16 toolchain was not shipped in F43 — so the expected upgrade path never materialized.
Quite the oversight then, this upgrade was the most work i had with fedora since 33.
Just upgrading to 17 would have been the thing to do imho.
Lot’s of work now for everyone to upgrade from 16 to 18, with very unclear/minor benefits.
