Downgrade util-linux with broken su/sudo

,

Hi, I just installed updates from updates-testing. Now I cannot use su or sudo anymore. Whenever I try, I get an abrt warning that util-linux crashed. Any ideas of how to downgrade that without the ability to become root in terminal? Or better, how to distro-sync, as that should downgrade all my packages from updates-testing.

Note: I am not sure that util-linux is the culprit. Looking at bodhi it looks like there is no current update to util-linux in fedora 33. So I suspect another updated package is responsible, but makes util-linux crash.

Reset root password if required and use Alt+Ctrl+F3 to log in as root.
Or a boot a live session with chroot.

Thanks, I wish I had set a root password before…
I have worked with chroot from a live session before. Not the greatest fun given the crazy network I need to use here, but very powerful.
Changing the root password via grub is new to me. Looks interesting.
But I guess for now my solution will be to simply wait for fresh updates to come through and install those via GNOME software. Besides the sudo issue my computer seems run fine and I can continue to work.
