does Fedora provide Zed editor?
It’s available as a flatpak from flathub.
permission issues on flatpaks cant use it
It not looks like but you can find it
-
on Flathub as a flatpack,
-
or Fedora/Ultramarine (Terra):
zed
,zed-preview
,zed-nightly
Be aware of:
Zed is currently available on macOS and Linux.
Zed collects anonymous telemetry data to help us understand how people are using the app. For more information, see our documentation.
Is this not good enough?
What do you mean exactly?
I need full accesa on zed without tricks
Terminal, ssh, remote cinnections and talk to password manager and authentications flatpaks no can do
I haven’t tried all those things but i just tested opening a terminal and SSH’ing to a remote host and that works well.
remote host is the easy part i need to have it to talk my terminal and password manager to authenticate push, pull, git, clone etc that are managed and encrypted with secret SSH signing keys that is managed again my password manager and needs to be authenticated by me using yubikey
Untill flatpaks gets NativeMessaging feature itbis needed to use as system… When NativeMessaging comes itbis so much easier to use flatpaks and then i can understand flatpaks and atomic use cases
You’re back !!! Great to see you again
thank you glad to be back was hard times, but managed to figure things out and tested like 20 distros and stuff, but back to here again where my home is
