Disappearing files from created folders - F42 KDE

Hi all,

I created a folder in my home directory for appimages called AppImages. this folder is currently home to one appimage, however whenever I reboot the laptop the appimage itself disappears from it’s folder. It just disappears. It’s not hidden, Gone!

Fortunately, I have a copy of the appimage in my downloads folder (which doesn’t disappear) and I just copy that back over to the appimage folder. this fixes the problem until the next reboot.

Naturally, I would like to keep apps from disappearing so any help to diagnose this dilemma would be much appreciated!

Cheers.

I am not sure what it happening there, but I use the ~/bin directory for any personal executable files, and place my appimages that I use there. I then create an alias in ~/.bashrc (with a much shorter name) to use when launching that image.

Are you certain that the appimage folder is on the physical drive or may it possibly be in virtual drive space.? If virtual then a reboot clears RAM and everything there is wiped out.
