I wonder the difference because i may have to reinstall Fedora, and my first install was with KDE, the first group is not working here, so i tested GNOME with the second, but in my in the reinstall i would like to keep my /home , so i have to now if i will not make any mess by mixing the Fedora Workstation iso with all this config files.

Obs: i will reinstall because i installed only / on my SSD, and a fellow told me i should put /home on the SSD too because of the config files.
They’re two different groups. While the workstation product features Gnome, it’s not simply Gnome. You can see the difference here:
$ sudo dnf groupinfo "Fedora Workstation"
